Mendoza: Argentina's wine country

Mendoza was our final trip in journey through South America, so to celebrate, we toasted to a nearly perfect, yet still once-in-a-life-time, voyage.  Because Mendoza was well-known for producing Argentina’s best and more famous wine, we reckoned we should find out for ourselves....

Buenos Aires and New Years

Buenos Aires: an incredible multicultural city full of life and a pleasant surprise as we normally don’t like huge cities. Luckily, Harry had an old school friend, Niccolo, who was living in BA when we arrived and we were shown around all the hot spots, beautiful parks and how to make real empanadas! If I could describe BA in one word it would probably be empanadas... or mate... ok, empanadas AND mate!

Iguazu Falls

Our time in Argentina was feeling more like a holiday than “travelling” as we relaxed in Salta and basked in the sun, drank wine and ate too much food in Cafayate. But what reminded us that we were backpacking in Argentina was the epic bus ride to the most spectacular feature of nature I have ever seen, the Iguazu Falls.
